Memoir
Writing Workshop with Perky Granger
The
autumn artifacts tea had a special twist: Local
author
Perky Granger led participants in using the objects
they
had brought as inspiration for writing about memories the
items
evoked . A model train, an immigrant mother's passport photo, a
derringer handle, and even an old mixing bowl
proved to be sources of stories about the past.
To see photos of the
workshop (and of Paul demonstrating his artifact, an antique rifle, in
"action"), view the slideshow.*
Actors'
Workshop
At the
Senior
Center, acting coach Filomena Riviello
conducted a workshop for those considering participating in Octobers'
Graveyard Walks, as well as for any simply interested in learning more
about acting and developing characters. Costumes and
accessories (and refreshments) were provided.

participants, go to the slideshow.*
