History Mystery: A Museum Scavenger Hunt

Turn your museum visit into a quest! Follow the Google Slideshow on your phone—or print the clue sheet ahead of time—and hunt for artifacts, photos, and stories throughout the Warrensburgh Museum of Local History. Perfect for families, classrooms, and curious visitors of all ages.
Work your way through a series of short prompts that guide you to exhibits across the Museum. Each clue highlights a detail to find, a question to answer, or a story to notice. Finish at your own pace—most visitors complete the hunt in about 20–30 minutes—and explore more as long as you like.

How it works
  • Open the Google Slideshow on your phone (or tablet), or print the Scavenger Hunt PDF before you arrive.
  • Start anywhere in the Museum and follow the prompts.
  • Jot your answers right on the sheet (bring a pencil), or simply enjoy the search.
  • When you’re done, compare your discoveries with a friend—or challenge yourself to find a few more!
Tips
  • Best for upper-elementary and up; younger kids can team up with an adult.
  • Allow a little extra time if visiting with a group.
  • Accessibility note: let us know if you need a large-print version.
