WARRENSBURG | The holiday spirit of bygone eras will prevail this weekend at the annual Christmas in Warrensburgh festival. Scheduled for Friday Dec. 1 through Sunday Dec. 3, the event harkens back to rural holiday traditions, featuring an array of activities through town. On Saturday Dec.
WARRENSBURG - A new exhibit, "The Toons of Paul Gurney," coming to the Warrensburgh Museum of Local History. An observant and talented youth, Paul Gurney drew cartoons of various aspects of life in Warrensburg in the early 20th century, from the classroom to a local barber shop.
WARRENSBURG - Local crafters are now being sought to participate in the Warrensburgh Museum of Local History's upcoming exhibit, Holiday Craftsmanship. Area residents are invited to lend us a sample of their handmade crafts, including sweaters, stockings, placemats and other table decor, snowmen, mittens, ornaments, toys, wreaths or garlands, and other holiday-related creations.
WARRENSBURG Driving north into town on Route 9, it's impossible to miss the massive mural on the wall of the building that houses VFW Post No. 4821 and the Warrensburgh Museum of Local History. The colorful mural, painted in 1976, offers scenes of life in historical Warrensburg and is a bright greeting for drivers.
