Greeter Information and Schedule
Link to Schedule
Hello Museum Volunteers
I would like to Welcome you back to the Warrensburg Museum for the 2024 Season. I hope you will be able to join me and others on May 15th to our Thank you event to honor you for the work you have done. We will also have a training event that day for our new volunteers. As you read on the information should sound familiar but I thought I would share it again with you. Let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you. Laura
Warrensburgh Museum is always looking for volunteers to serve as Greeters. The museum is open Saturday and Sundays from 12pm-2pm and will open for appointment only slots as well. We will be open during the months of May - officially open Memorial Day Weekend through October -closing Columbus Day Weekend, also we will be open in December for the annual Christmas in Warrensburg event.
Greeters are asked to serve for a two-hour period, as available, one month or more in advance. No further commitment is required. No prior knowledge about Warrensburg is necessary – just a friendly smile and welcoming personality. (There is ample opportunity to learn about the town, as exhibits are designed to inform visitors about the town's history, not just display artifacts and photos.)
There are always two Greeters on duty. Initial service will always be with a veteran Greeter. We will provide prior instruction about the daily routine. A detailed Greeters' Handbook is provided. Hours served are reported monthly.
Interested parties may contact me at 518-623-2928 or at [email protected] at any time. The Warrensburg Museum is located at 3754 Main Street (the VFW building) and is fully handicap accessible. The museum is owned by the Town of Warrensburg and is operated by the Warrensburgh Historical Society. (Membership is not required to volunteer.) Opening Day for 2024 will be May 25th.
I realize some of you are from outside the area but you may know folks who might be interested in volunteering and we hope you will share this information.
Below are some links you may find useful if you haven't seen our Facebook or Web pages for the Warren County Historical Society and the Warrensburg Museum. Please let me know if you have any questions about our museum.
Here is a Link to our Volunteer Form if you have time to complete I can touch base in advance of the event. https://forms.gle/1c45vjfricQhAcde6
Hope to meet you on May 20th. Have a great day!
Sincerely,
